Bill Conger has been Curator at University Galleries at Illinois State university in Normal, Illinois Since August 1998.  He has an MFA in Painting from Illinois State University (1993).  Selected curatorial projects include Sad Songs (2005), Slab (2003), new Angeles (2001), Pixerina Witcherina (2001), The UFO Show (2000), Growing Up (Post) Modern (1999), and OTHER-VILLE (1999).  His artwork has been included in selected exhibitions at the Tipperary Arts Center in Clonmel Ireland, Galeria Sztuki Wspolczesnej in Olsztyn, Poland, and Limner Gallery in New York as well as numerous group exhibitions around the Midwest.  He was recently included in Think Small, a two-year traveling exhibition at the Illinois State Museum Springfield Gallery (2005) and From the Forest to the Cavern at The Guest Room Project in Chicago (2006).  He also in the past year has been a visiting artist at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Link program and Brigham Young University.  His most recent curatorial publication, Sad Songs, includes an essay by poet/writer, Richard Hell.
