MADE IN CHINA
is a selection of the work made at the Pottery Workshop Experimental Factory in Jingdezhen, China. The works exhibited are the result of an exploration into the materials, processes, and techniques used by and in collaboration with the local artisans during a two-month residency in the spring of 2006 at the Experimental Factory. Jingdezhen is located southwest of Shanghai in Jiangxi Province and is known in China as the "Porcelain Capital" with a 1,000 year tradition for the production of China's finest porcelain pottery and sculpture.
