Cheonae Kim

Cheonae Kim is a full time term faculty in Painting. She received her MFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1986. Ms. Kim is an active exhibitor. Her work ranges from small jewel-like paintings to major architectural installations. She is widely represented. Galleries representing her work include Klein Artworks in Chicago, Brian Gross in San Francisco, Gallery Joe in Philadelphia, and Elliot Smith in St. Louis. Major exhibitions include Milwaukee Museum, UCLA Hammer Museum, the Rockford Museum, and the Chicago Cultural Center.

Cheonae has work included in the Chicago Art Expo, April 25-27. The reception at McCormick Place West on Friday, April 25 is from 9 am-Noon. Her piece "checkerboard lounge," is based on the Chicago blues.
