Jiyong Lee

Assistant Professor Jiyong Lee earned an MFA at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001 and taught at Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2005, he received the Glass Art Society award for Outstanding New Glass Artist. He also received the Sax Award at Pilchuck Glassworks for outstanding art assistant.

Todd Billmark

Visiting Assistant Professor Todd Billmark received his MFA in glass in 2002 here at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Todd teaches beginning glassblowing and assists in the supervision of the hot glass facilities and students along with managing the Mobile Glassblowing Unit.

Bill Boysen

Professor Emeritus Bill Boysen built the program at Southern Illinois University Carbondale from the ground up. He recieved an MFA degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison where he studied under Harvey Littleton. The second person in the nation to graduate with a degree in glass, Boysen began working at SIUC in 1966. He built the first mobile unit in 197-. It was out of this facility that he taught the first glassblowing classes at SIUC.
