Diane is the School’s Advisement Secretary. She works directly with both the Head of Graduate Studies and the Undergraduate Academic Advisor. She is in many ways the face of the Advisement Office for both the Graduate and Undergraduate students. Diane can be found wearing many hats. She may be coordinating tours for prospective students, calming frayed nerves with a piece of candy, or collecting data to prepare complex reports.
She has been with the Art and Design Department since May 2011 and at SIU since June 1995. She also worked at SIU from 1981 to 1983 before moving away from Carbondale for awhile. Prior to working in the School of Art and Design, she worked on Campus at the Computer Science Department, Health Services, SIU Police Department twice and Admission and Records. Diane loves working at SIU and the School of Art and Design. She especially loves working with and helping the students.
