Mark Pease earned his MFA from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and taught for two years in the School of Design. While at Penn, Mark was part of the Visiting Artist Exchange Program at the Royal Academy of Art in London where he was a resident artist and scholar. Prior to coming to SIUC, he was Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas and Assistant Professor at Northwestern College teaching art and design.

Growing up in suburban Indiana then living in Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Dallas and DC has left an impact on Mark’s interests as an artist and awareness of places and their impact on our ability to process new visual experiences. He works in a variety of media including digital imaging, animation, and printmaking. He has shown his work nationally and internationally including Galeria Espacio Kubiko in Madrid, Arthouse at the Jones Center in Austin, MBN Studios in Philadelphia and the International Print Center in New York.
